What a wonderful feeling to be back at the Boston Conservatory where I graduated with my Bachelor degree in Guitar Performance to receive the Distinguished Alumni Award. The same warm and intimate feeling that I had back from 1977 to 1981 came to me. The students, faculty and administrators were so gracious and kind, supportive and proud of me. Boston Conservatory will always hold a special place in my heart. I enjoyed giving my speech at the Graduation ceremony, what a thrill to stand on the podium and talk to the graduation class of 2011, their parents, relatives, and the faculty and administrators. Just performed a concert in Pittsburgh, full house, 300 people. Voice of America filmed it and interviewed me later. It will be shown in Iran on Thursday April 28th, 2011 from 8:30 to 9 PM in the program called "Today's Woman" (Zane-e- Emruz). It will show in the US on the same day between 12 PM to 1:30 PM Eastern Time.

Finally my guitar method book is published in Iran along with 2 CDs. The book is designed for beginner to intermediate guitarists with 89 pieces recorded on the CD.
Also I am excited to be on the cover of Nasim Haraz magazine in Tehran. You can see the photo in my Gallery page (final photo). |

Just got back from PA where I made 6 instructional DVDs. It was a lot of preparation and work but I think they turned out real good. looking forward to seeing the footage.
Missed one day of school because of snowstorm in PA and Newark.

It's great to be back in Memphis. I am still getting over my jet lag from my 4 1/2 month long trip to Iran, at the same time I am quite busy preaparing two instructional DVDs which I will record in about 2 weeks in PA.
Yesterday I had a photo shoot with RSVP magazine in Memphis. It will be in the Feb. issue as a feature.
University will start soon and I look forward to seeing my students again after a semester of sabbatical. |

On Friday Dec. 3 (12 Azar) and again on December 13 (22 Azar) I am giving two seminars on guitar technique and musicianship in Tehran at the Nima Fereyduni Music Academy and the Tehran Conservatory respectively.
Next week (Dec. 9 -10, 18-19 Azar)) I teach master classes in Isfahan, a beautiful city in Iran.
